Our latest arrangement has been a very special project that sets the stage for some of the work that can be done at Ducks & Daisies, in which the client wanted a one of a kind custom display based on the Lord of The Rings.
The piece invokes the warm colours of The Shire – a small and idyllic land in the fictional northwestern region of Middle-Earth featured in the iconic books and movies, full of rolling green hills, plentiful meadows the friendly folk known as the Hobbits. The lush greens and warm hues of the countryside and woods were inspiration for the arrangement, drawing upon the sense of calm one might have when nestled in their Hobbit-Hole for second breakfast.
Each flower was chosen to specifically to match the colours shown in The Shire, such as the dark green oak leaves which represent the abundant woodlands, or the Canterbury Bells and Geraldton Waxflowers which are reminiscing of the rolling hills and vast fields.
